LinuxCNC often freezes hard on (Not released) RTAI 4.14.132

Try the kernel (and, if you want) LinuxCNC packages at www.linuxcnc.org/temp

But bear in mind that this kernel, too, will sometimes crash. It is a long-standing problem that I have already spent many weeks trying to track down.

However, as far as I know, once it is running, it runs fine.

Alternatively try the preempt-rt kernel which has no known problems of this type.
