Trying to install Linux Mint 19.1 and Linuxcnc 2.8 that Beaglebrainz setup.
I just want to install it on a laptop that I have to play around and see what Linuxcnc 2.8 offers. So I made a bootable dvd and started installing it and I get this message.
This kernel requires an x86-64 cpu but only detected an i686 cpu.
I messed around for a few hours trying to fix it but no success. Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

What laptop is it and what cpu is installed ?
If the cpu is not a 64 bit processor the kernel wont load neither would any of the binaries work as everything is compiled for 64 bit.

Well apart from trying a 64bit ISO with a 32bit machine

I've done it myself, with a different distro, so naught to worry about.
