Hello Everyone.
For experiments with an additive manufacturing method under microgravity conditions I want to use Linuxcnc to control the printer.
As I have built some cnc-machines with linuxcnc before I know the problem with laptops and latency.
The setup should be: HP Probook 650 G4 --> MESA 7I76e
Can anyone tell me if this system would work without any latency issues?
Greetings
Michael

as the ethernet card got its own latency it will work like you expect
no need to get around latency
what you are expecting in the Horror way will be a grapgics delay saying around 50ms beond Mashine at wortht Timing
if you got the Bok in hand bevor buy just see with the liveDVD/usb what you are up with

Thanks for the advice to test the system with a live CD. Maybe I can find someone with this notebook at the university to test the setup.
If it there would be graphic delays in this timescale I would not care about.
