The D945GCLF2 will work with a Live CD install and no modifications (other than setting the parallel port to EPP mode in BIOS). The onboard video plays well with EMC, and it won't require an add-on video card. However, the D945GCLF2 went out of production and is getting impossible to find through primary sellers. The D510MO works also, but you'll need to install Ubuntu 10 then EMC in order to use the on-board ethernet and audio. Once installed this way, everything should work, including the on-board video.

I use it few years.
This board is very nice.
But I have problems if GCode programm has 1 000 000 lines e.t.c. because CPU is slow and we have only 2Gb RAM
This board has not any problems with small and medium files.

I use this Mini-Itx computor as the brain for my Maho. It is not the fastest, but has worked flawlessly with my Mesa Hardware.
