Noticed last 2 to 3 weeks of updates will not set up LinuxCNC on the CNC menu entry as it normally did but will throw that on the accessories menu.
This is with latest Master builds and Linux Mint 19.3 and Mint 20.

I wonder if it works with Debian?

Are you able to try 2.8 and see if that has the same problem on Mint? I did recently make some changes.

I just installed Debian 10 two days ago and it didn't put it in menu where it normally does.
I thought that's weird and started Linuxcnc from terminal

Tested the 2.8 version of LinuxCNC and it puts the menu entries in the "other" section of the menu.
Master puts them in "accessories" .
