I set up a old Dell desktop years ago as a DRO on my mill. So I have vague recollections of how all the HAL and things fit together.
I now am cobbling together a desktop laser.
The plan is to use a raspberry Pi 4.
I have booted it with the LinuxCNC image.
Seems ok, but it does throw a "CPU incompatible" error a couple times before the desktop takes over the screen.
Pointers on what that means?
Also, I have a Gecko G540 for my stepper driver.
Are there any pointers that talk about getting GPIO of the PI connected (pin outs, etc.) or is that handled by the wizards?
I assume there needs to be some sort of level converter between the Pi and the Gecko? I seem to remember the Pi GPIO being 3V.

That should be in regards to KVM functionality of the processor, nothing to worry about..

Ok, thanks. There was part of the line that did mention KVM, but it flashed by too quick to get the whole message.
