Live view not available in axis + error message, linuxcnc 2.8.0 debian

I have just installed the new Buster Live iso and almost have my old config working.

When I start I get an error message, even before the splash screen is gone:
"Near line 0 of /usr/share/axis/images/axis.ngc:
exception during generator call: TypeError: 'NoneType' object is non callable"

This happens with every file I open.

When searching the error the few answers I find seem to relate to python.
I checked if I had python 2.7 installed, I had, as well as 3.4?
(The python errors I read about say "not callable" instead of "non calable")

I removed python 3.4, that dis not change anything.


Any thoughts?

I have tried to start one of the included configs, no success yet.

I tried to find the md5sum for the iso I have but it is not on the download page, any idea where to look?

I have downloaded the buster iso again and the md5sum does differ from that of the one I installed.

After some hard searching I found the md5sum of the current iso, it is here:

I'll try reinstalling...
