clonezilla works if you are just doing one drive - but if you are doing any volume of drives - look a bit further. I set up a duplication system - had it run via scripts.. and the package partclone was faster.
The trick was to clone the partition table - then run partclone - which understands how to copy only what is needed without looking at the files one by one. The speed limit was mostly the drive I/O - complex software with windows system and a second partition with Debian took only 5-min+.
I have the old scrip if you are interested - everything changes so there is likely something would need to be tweaked.
