Hi
What is easiest way of upgrading to newer version (from 2.7 which has been configured 3axis+probe and worked fine for me) to be able use new features ( WHB04B-4)?
I am keeping old install on old harddrive as fallback plan, putting in new harddrive and doing fresh 2.8 install.
Brief search has not really gave out any simple answers. Would it be as simply as copying over linuxcnc folder from old drive and configuring just
WHB04B-4 ?
Thanks

Ok, figrued it out.
1) did fresh install 2.8 from ISO
2) run stepconf loading data from 2.7 version stepconf file
3) installed new probe version tab
4) installed pendant driver
5) hooked up comp to machine and verified function
from old setup was not copied maxvelocity settings and backlash setups
modified machine.ini and all seems to be working
