I am trying to install LinuxCNC 2.8.2 Debian 10 Buster PREEMPT-RT ISO to my HP 8300 Elite computer using usb stick.

Bios settings: Legacy Boot enabled, Secure Boot Disabled. EUFI is enabled, installer won't run on legacy.

While installing, installer crashes while IPV6 installation.

In order to avoid this problem I disconnected the pc from the internet. Now I get Install Fail: 'grub-efi-amd64' package failed to install into /target/ problem.

I created the usb stick using Win32 DiskImager and Rufus, no differance.

I read other topics about this but I could not find any solution.

I wanted to install Debian 7 Wheezy ISO but it does not boot at all.

I previously installed Mx19.4 and installed Linuxcnc but it had over 1.000.000 latency.

How do i install LinuxCNC?

I have had some luck using the DD option in Rufus when ISO fails.
I don't know if it will help, but it has worked for me.

This is just another reason why I always use Debian Bullseye as the later kernel has UEFI support and a host of drivers for more recent hardware (and I use Rufus to make the usb stick)

If it helps, I burnt a copy of Debian Bullseye (11.3) nonfree to a DVD today and installed it on  a MSI  All in one i3 PC because it preferred  a DVD to boot to.
I installed the preempt_rt patch using synaptic (search for linux-image) and also linux-headers for that kernel while I was there.

Then instead of using the link I provided  earlier in this thread, I decided to use this script
github.com/joco-nz/lcnc-bullseye-installer
I realised then I needn't have bothered installing the preempt_rt image as the script  does it for you
It worked flawlessly. It asked a few questions along the way but when done, I had linuxcnc in the menus
The script was written by James who also wrote the instructions linked earlier so I expected it to be perfect!

Great to see you got a result!
Debian Bullseye with a later kernel has a greater range of hardware support.
Its a nice system to use and worth the bit of extra effort to get up and running.
And to think you managed to install it based on on paragraph of instructions without wading through pages of instructions required for MX linux!
