Trouble installing

Hi linuxcnc, I’m trying to install this version www.linuxcnc.org/iso/linuxcnc-2.8.4-buster.iso of Debian and Linux onto a hp8200 and no matter what i try receive a ‘non system disk or disk error. No bootable device found’. I’ve tried just about every setting in bios and still no luck… has anyone run into this before? Should I just try a different install method?

Without any further details I would guess that it is because you're trying to install directly from the iso file... This will NOT work.

You will need to first 'flash' the iso file to a USB memory stick with an app such as Etcher that you can download here (free): www.balena.io/etcher/

Then you should be able to boot directly from the usb stick and proceed with the installation.
