Installing Linuxcnc from usb to ssd was created by Aldenflorio
I’m having issues with the options and picking which ones to pick while installing, particularly partitioning. Would I be able to have someone help me with the options.

im open to a phone call if that would be easier

The simplest way and the one usually recommended for Linux novices is to simply install everything in a single partition (choose guided in the installation menu, and leave every thing as default.)

That may depend on your PC. Some computers BIOS (BIOS is technically the wrong term) have UEFI poorly implemented and give problems with using it. Personally I've not had a problem with it, but I've not installed Linux on many newer computers that support UEFI. The ones that I've tried worked without issue. Most older computers will require using BIOS or "Legacy Mode" (what some computers call the BIOS mode.) Which you should choose when installing will depend on your motherboard and its boot settings.
