hey. i have been using MX 19.4 with download of linuxcnc through the repositories. not many problems until now on most PCs, but this time i just cant do it:

The repository is broken, and the key doesn't work.
after doing sudo apt update and upgrade, i couldn't get the packages to appear because the key seemed invalid.
i tried doing sudo nano etc /etc/apt/sources.list and adding [trusted=yes] and i managed to get the packages to appear in the synaptic package manager, but now i can't get it to work because one repository is broken. i tried master-rtpreempt and 2.9, 2.8 versions....
what could be wrong?
i tried adding ALL the recommended packages and still no success.

any other alternatives to succeed installing 2.10 (or other)?

thank you!

Which keyserver are you using? There is a problem with keys, various distributions disagree about what is valid.

Have you tried both keyservers suggested in step 7 here?

tried the key 3cb9fd148f374fef and the key EF1B07FEE0EE663E. With one or another keyserver both worked in the end. but i still have one broken package: linuxcnc-uspace.

no idea how to fix it because the keys got it right but synaptic or sudo apt install won't let me install because the package is broken

I think that both installers have an option to try to fix broken packages. Is this not working?

You could try just downloading the debs and installing manually.

From memory the problem on Mint 21 was python version.
It seems something changed a while back and you don't specify the python version in the make file, the made deb gets it from the system it was made from.
Or at least that's what seemed to be the problem when I briefly looked at it.

Mint 21 used an older version of python then Debian. If you compile it worked fine.
Again all from memory.
