Building debian package without GTK2 was created by HansU
I am following the steps from:
linuxcnc.org/docs/2.9/html/code/building...ding_debian_packages
but how can I disable GTK2 for the debian package build like I can do with "--disable-gtk2" for the normal build?

Do you mean adding the "--disable-gtk2" option to the rules.in script?

That was what I was wondering about trying first, yes.
I had thought that there was a way to pass extra args "through" dpkg but I didn't find it.
