Instlal error : Failed to create a file system was created by garthnoakes
I get this error using the same install steps I have successfully used on other PCs. The message is "The efi file system creation in partition ## of SCSI1 (0,0,0) (sda) failed.
I'm booting off a DVD, I can run the live image from it with no problems

Try disabling secure boot/EFI in your BIOS and start again
