The image below is not recommended for use and is only being left for historical reasons.

This one has Mate Desktop, latest Linuxcnc Packages built from 2.9 source, ie: has hm2_spix driver. SPI enabled by default, no messing with config file. 6.12.10 rt kernel

As stated in the opening post:
All images have been tested on a 4gb Rpi5 bought int Nov-Dec 2023, updated with latest EEPROM. Not official images by any length. It is recommended to use Balena Etcher. Rpi Imager has had issues with the images built by the program suite used to build the images.
That image is depreciated.

I would have thought cornholio would have included the ethercat repos. But you could use the provided script in a sticky in the Ethercat section that should workOnly reason I wanted to try this image is since I'm not able to install ethercat on the latest one...
