Hello

I have ubuntu 8.04 with EMC2.3.5 from the live CD running nicely on my thinkpad t40.
The 10.04 Live CD is not working and after searching around for some hours (this is my first linux computer...)
I found out that the 2.4 is not working on my computer. With or without rtai_smi, even 2.4.0 is starting with the following error.
Does anyone have an idea how to get this problem solved?
many thanks in advance.

Yes - see here:
wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/emcinfo.pl?UPD...ween_2_3_x_and_2_4_x

try removing the NML_FILE=emc.mnl line from INI file.
