IRC isn't working was created by dmauch
The Jan11,2011 Getting started guide on page 4 says theres a Internet relay chat. It gives the url as www.linuxcnc.org/content/view/4/8/lang,en/ .
But it doesn't take me to the chat room. Is the manual wrong?

Nope, the manual is correct. But you have to read the page and pick what you want to do... and it is not a chat room.

You need to click on the "embedded java client" link on the linked page, or (better) use the info there to set up an IRC client (Pidgin is the one installed as default with a LiveCD install)
