Issues with EtherCAT linuxcnc driver installation was created by Abdulkareem
I got a new pc setup and tried downloading ethercat i followed the guide thats on the forum but i keep getting this error any help would be greatly appreciated

Ethercat on its own works fine a reads the slaves the issue is with the driver i think

I think there is an error where you load your xml file in hal
Do you have this in hal?
loadusr -W lcec_conf ethercat-conf.xml
loadrt lcec

Did you install linuxcnc-ethercat? The error says it is missing lcec, linuxcnc-ethercat.

Hakan, This appears exactly as the issue I am having. I can say that I also have linuxcnc-ethercat installed from the repo. Also I would have just posted here if I knew his error was the same, sorry for clogging things up.

It mentions a filename vartokins.py, I don't have that here so I don't know what that is.
