Nice Choice. It evens support IEEE1588 Precision Time Protocol that is behind TSN (Time sensitive networking),
One day , we will have Ethercat slaves and possibly even Mesa FGPA's that support TSN

Any chip which uses drivers on the list is supported.  I226 uses igc driver.
