Virtual keyboard? was created by Ross77
Looking for pointers on installing the onscreen keyboard. Im running lcnc 2.7.12 and when I go to the settings tab in Gmoccapy the vitual keyboard settings are greyed out so dosnt seem to be installed.

Ive tryed googling it but to many options and unsure how to install on the Linux side of it. Cheers

You need to install Matchbox or Onboard keyboard separately. I could never get Matchbox working, onboard was removed from some distros for a while so it is never easy.

I think I had to add onbord to my startup options in Linux Mint.

Its probably something like:

sudo apt-get install onboard

Sometimes there are version numbers etc in the name
or browse the available packages Synaptics package manager until you find it.

If you can't find it, look for matchbox instead.

Thanks Rod
Couldn't find onboard at all, so I used Synaptics package manager to find and down load matchbox-keyboard

Installed with - sudo apt-get matchbox

Easy when you now how :oD seems to work fine in Gmoccapy, next task is to make it bigger so I can hit the button I want not the one next to it.

Thanks to Clive S as well.
