Ok I guess never mind after about an 30 mins of reboots and unplugging everything and numerous restarts it has decided to grant me a little machine time.

Odd.
The problem was that LinuxCNC was still running. This sometimes happens if LinuxCNC crashes, it can leave the realtime modules loaded. There isn't an easy way to unload them as they are mutually dependent. But a PC restart always works.
The question is, what caused the initial crash that caused the module tangle?
