OK here is kind of where I am currently at. I have Linuxcnc 2.8 installed. Using a parallel port out to a Gecko540 to a Grizzly mill. I am as new to this as you can get so be gentle :) . Anyway I have the gmoccapy interface up and kind of going. I can jog machine around and I have been able to manually edit my.ini file to calibrate machine and compensate for backlash on all three axis. So I feel like I have made leaps and bounds in a few days.

Anyway here is the dumb question I do not see anywhere on the interface a place to click and load a file ?? I know I am missing something here. point me in the right direction.

Thanks !!

E-stop, enable the machine, home all, set it to "Auto" mode and the "open file" button appears at the bottom.

Nrobert did a good job of hiding stuff and showing them only when needed, makes for a cleaner and more elegant look.

Yes I love the look !! I don't have a touch screen but still chose it over axis just because of the aesthetics. Very nice !!

For the basic usage I made some youtube videos, just search for gmoccapoy in you tube.

And if you already like that screen, just wait for the next one I am making ;-)
But the next one will be based on GTK3 and python3 so there will be the need for a modern OS.
