How to add Macros or Subroutines to Gmoccapy? was created by PhilCNC
I'm trying to cut a 1/4NPT thread, which is tapered. To set the stage, I'm using LinuxCNC 2.8 and I'm trying to use the lathe threading macro posted by big john T, but I'm struggling to get it working with Gmoccapy. After following the instructions on the Gmoccapy manual, I get a warning "File ended with no percent sign or program end". After adding a percent sign the error message is something different, but the result is the same. The sample config labeled "sim.gmoccapy.lathe_macros" does not function either, heck the boxes don't even show up! Any help is appreciated, and if someone has a working configuration with macros and is willing to share I think I could figure out the rest. Thanks!
Edit: I've got one of the macros to work, but not the threading macro.

"File ended with no percent sign or program end"
is a gcode error, not related to gmoccapy, may be it is also a subroutine issue.
