Optional Stop ( M1 ) was created by CNC_Tux
Dear Community,
today i was tested some functions in Gmoccapy (LinuxCNC 2.8.3) and i was very suprised the "Optional Stop" ( for M1 ) didnt works.
The Button 7 in Auto Mode is for "Optional Blocks" ( Whatever its be, but isnt the same like for M1 ).
How can i get the function "Optional Stop"?
Thank you so much in advance.
Cheers
Reinhard

Were you trying to change optional stop while the program was running?
That is not supported in linuxcnc.

Hello cmorley,
it is doesnt matter if i press the button while is the program is running or before, the result is the same.
I took a look in the hal, the button works on "Optional Blocks" not at M1
A hal pin is there, with the name "Optional Stop".
What kind of function have "Optional Blocks" ???

optional blocks is a way to select lines of code that can be optionally run.
It again can also only be preset before running.
but Yes I don not see away to set optional stop in gmoccapy.
In master branch I do see commented out code to toggle it though.
I'm not sure why it would have been removed.

Hello cmorley,
thank you so much, the sample is working.
The Function "Block delete" have much more possibilities and the optional stop is working too
"/ M1" or "/ M0" is working too.
its really not so bad this function
Cheers
