Could we get another pinned topic called "All-in-One Single Board Computers That Worked"

I think you guys are doing great things, but you're inaccessible to the noobs. I'm looking to get a Bridgeport converted to LCNC. I've got a couple HP computers that I could gut, but I find the SBC compelling for having a compact installation. I just need to throw a little money around.

But, I get lost here. Y'all are into "the kernel loads on this board" and "don't buy that board, this board's ethernet is 5% faster". Which is exactly what you should do, because it is exactly what you want to do. But, I'd like to get a machine running, and then start playing.

So, how about a pinned thread of boards that have been demonstrated to reliably work, and I could feel happy spending some money on?

the only thing that is noob friendly and works is the raspberry pi with premade linuxcnc image. not exactly an all in one though. everything else is so fucking hard, all day, every day.

Use a x86/amd64 PC. This thread was for devs and not for noobs.

Noobs should be looking into this thread  forum.linuxcnc.org/18-computer/39371-res...or-use-with-linuxcnc

I order one of these the other day, I'll add it to your list of potential boards.
I went with the 16gb/256gb variant

NanoPC-T6
www.friendlyelec.com/index.php?route=pro...oduct&product_id=292
www.rock-chips.com/uploads/pdf/2022.8.26...rief%20Datasheet.pdf
RK3588
4x ARM Cortex-A76(up to 2.4GHz)
4x Cortex-A55 CPU (up to 1.8GHz)
3x Cortex M0
Mali-G610 GPU
4GB/8GB/16GB LPDDR4X at 2133MHz
32GB/64GB/256GB eMMC

I really just picked it up for the 2x 2.5G Ethernet ports so I can use one for EtherCat devices and the 12v input so I can embed it in my control box and use an existing DIN mounted Meanwell PSU.  I also paid for the optional M.2 WiFi Card (8822CE) but I don't think I will need it with dual RJ45.

Ordered one too to replace the rk3588s which I'm going to use for LinuxCNC. I'll use it with a Mesa card.

Guglielmi has made a software stepgen driver for this board.
His latency test shows it's a very good all-in one candidate:

Are you talking about the OPi5 Plus which has a RK3358?
I thought the driver Guglielmi was working on was for the OPi5 which has RK3588S
