I tested this on Linuxcnc 2.10pre and works great !
Maybe add a readme.txt in zip with instructions to install ??
where "donno" should be your username

Well that's frustrating -- found this thread, got excited, read it to the end, and... crickets.
What happened?

I am a but puzzled too, there was talk of adding it to LinuxCNC, and a suggestion that it might already have been done. But I don't see any "axis2" in the code.
I am fairly sure that it _isn't_ the UI in sim/gaxis, but perhaps that could work for you?

I don't find sim/gaxis, but I did find sim/gscreen, which is interesting. But I've also in the meantime found JT's Flexible UI thread, and I like the idea of being able to customize it easily. Having written a somewhat complex pyvcp panel for axis, that I now realize I can't use anywhere else, I'd rather the customization options are baked in from the start.

Your work is excellent and simplifies the understanding of not understanding Linux. Thank you very much!

Hello,
i think there is an error and think it must be:
sudo chmod +x /usr/share/axis/tcl/axis2.tcl instead of sudo chmod +x /home/donno/Downloads/axis2/axis2.tcl
(third line with sudo)
