I had a similar problem, I solved it by exploding the text into its segments.
I have attached the DXF to this post.

Edit: It seemed to work on your dxf file. Well it did up until the limit imposed by the 'free' version of SheetCam.

So thats what a $1000 part looks like (whats your hourly rate Stefan?)
I have not played much with text in DXF files but: the terminology changes from program to program but putting my old printers hat on (eg. using Adobe Illustrator teminology) you would need to convert your text to curves so the fonts are no longer required. This process replaces the vectors defined in the font with vectors embedded in the drawing, The other tricky thing is you need a single point font. When converted to curves, fonts usually end up with an outline and a fill. Its easy to delete the fill, but then you end up with two seperate lines to engrave, Stefan's font only comprises a single line...
There is so much history behind fonts becasue they were once molded from hot metal by the printer so they had a real value. This carried into the digital age and I do remember getting a real good group buy on the Adobe Type Library (about 3000 fonts) for about $4k when the retail price was about $30k but could be discounted to $12k in industry sometimes. And yes, it fitted on a CD!

With that file, when I imported it into Sheetcam this morning, The first S was not showing up in sheetcam, I selected it and exploded the polyline then reimported it and it showed up.
I use Autocad 2016 LT.

The delays we put in place today are working well. My biggest problem now is my scribe not working as it should. Its not turning on sometimes when air is supplied to it. Im not sure how I can solve that. Even in its manual it says if it does not turn on to give it a tap. Im trying to balance out the downwards motion with the on delay to give it a jolt. I have managed to do that to a extent but it still wont turn on sometimes.

You tell your accountant there are some very good tax deductions for R & D! Just keep a diary of hours spent... I thought t was a 140% deduction or something.
