New Configuration Error
Maybe I should just comment out any line with spindle or SPINDLE in it.

Seems like the prudent approach, as linuxcnc error'd out until I commented that line out.

I don't think so what if somebody has a drill or router as another spindle?

They can start a new user interface called PlasmarouterC?
I would think it semi-safe to say that most of the people who are adopting Plasmac for... Plasma, are not also going to be using it as a router table as well. There will be exceptions, of course but not the norm.
A problem (as I see it) is that people come to linuxcnc and Plasmac because it's awesome, and then get discouraged because of the learning curve involved with getting things up and running can be a challenge most dont want to (or have the time to) take on. Case and point is the guy I was helping, had a working config, ran configurator, and immediately got an error because of that spindle line. It's pretty recent that I can decipher the error messages and figure out what the problem is. but he didnt have a clue. Some users would give up and go back to Mach... *shutter*

I think there is much less chance of that being the case than a new user configuring with Pncconf or whatever the other config tool is that default to having all the spindle stuff.

I don't think you could run a router with
PlasmaC as all the Z motion is stripped out
At least just commenting lines out won't stop a config from loading which I feel is the better option.

I was going to say the same about Z motion... I have a hard enough time using a marker.
But at the end of the day, you're right, all he would have to do is un-comment out the spindle lines, it's not like configurator is deleting them... yet
