Update packages on Path Pilot machine

Hi
I happed to get my PP hard drive destroyed so now I start from scratch.
I used to be able to use ssh to connect to the PP machine but for some reason not anymore. So then I tried to do an apt-get and found that the server is not available. I have feeling it is because the Ubuntu 10.04 is no longer supported. So now where do I get any packages if I need them?

is this connecting from another linux 10_04 machine , or windows ?
most server problems are down to password and key not matching
did you reset the password and ssh key etc .
packages should still be available , did you do a sudo apt-get update && upgrade

Connecting from Windows or any other debian. I use Mobaxterm from windows. Putty does not work either for the ip of the PP machine.
I did the update but the server is not found for lucid packages. I did a manual search and did nor find it either.

Fug it seems that they do not have a ssh-server installed on the system.
