How does one determine the correct input divider network for a C&N plasma cutter with Pilot Arc that is non blowback.
The machine does not have a CNC port and has a LT50 torch.
I am assuming this would require some type of filtering for the HF Pilot Arc start.

Setting actual input voltage range is explained in the THCAD manual
For HF start torches, you would need a high voltage rated divider ( in the negative = torch lead )
Being a bit paranoid, I would start with 10X 270K HVR37 resistors (say 9 in the negative = torch lead and 1 in the ground lead)
This should be good to 25KV spikes if insulated well enough and give you a 280V full scale range

Is my interpretation correct?
Would it be best to put the divider network in the plasma supply and the THCAD-10 a reasonable distance away?
