Hey All,

Finally upgrades from a cheap Chinese plasma to a unimig razor cut 45 plasma.

This has the CNC port on the front (hopefully to make life easier).

I need some guidance on how to get it all connected into the MEAS 7i96 and THCAD10.

This is the unit
unimig.com.au/product/razor-cut-45-plasma-cutter/
This is the plug

This is the recommendations from Unimig on pin out

This is the instructions on how to convert the output ratio

This is the plug I have ordered to fit
www.hampdon.com.au/UNIMIG-Plasma-machine...or-cut-45-and-cut-80

Pin 5 & 6 go to the THCAD10. figured that one out all on my own !!

Questions:
Q1 where does pin 3 go?
Q2 where does pin 4 go?
Q3 what is pin 12/13/14 for?
Q4 do I need an arc ok? where do I get this from?
Q5 what settings do I need for linux to read this all correctly?
Q6 when using the hand torch in the cnc for now, do I need to have the trigger on or off?

Its all pretty straightforward. 3 & 4 go to one of the 7i96 outputs so you can start the plasma cutter.
vdiv 5 & 6 to the Thcad input. No scaling resistors will give 200V full scale by default so perfect.
12 & 14 are arcOK. Connect one of them to field power positive (usually +24v) connect the other side to an input for arcOK

Be sure to use a pull down resistor or capacitor on this to avoid any contact oxidisation.

Thanks Rod,

you are amazing.

Hopefully the new board is here next week and I'll be cutting again.
