I am looking to switch from Mach4 to Linuxcnc for my plasma build. I was looking at the 7i92 with a 7i85s. I have a promo 150 thc. Would these cards work together with the 4 stepper drivers DM542 ? I have a 3 motor 1 slave setup.
I am just starting to learn abouth linux , so this is a big jump for me.
Thanks,
Carlos

				Have a look at
7i92 and 7i76
7i76e which does above with one card
or 7i96
Your Proma will work with QTplasmac but for USD $69 you might like to also look at THCAD-10 when ordering your Mesa cards.
Even the Proma Diehards (like Tommylight) have long since converted to the THCAD .... Then Linuxcnc is the THC.

Thanks, The 7i76e is all out of stock and they are having a hard time getting parts. That is why i am looking at alternatives.
I was also wondering about my ohmic set up. Would I be able to use my Robot3T ohmic sensor with the THCAD and Linuxcnc?

				A 7I76+7I92M is a pretty close substitute for a 7I76E

I lucked in and ended up with a 7i76e......Now the I have an Everlast 82i . If I interpret the specs , 80A/112v would this work out to 2.24v at 1/50 and 7v at 1/16 divider?
Would I be able to use a 0-5v board on the 1/16 divider setting?

From my experience with the everlast 50i, the resistors in the voltage divider get counted as belonging to the thcad so 16:1 is actually 24:1. This gives you 240 v full scale on a THCAD-10 which is so close to perfect.I lucked in and ended up with a 7i76e......Now the I have an Everlast 82i . Iforgot to mention the Everlast cnc connector is made by Weipu. Try one of these.
