New (to me) Pick and Place was created by andypugh
I found a Pick and Place machine on eBay for what I considered a bargain price.

I am hoping to get it working under LinuxCNC, probably under the overall control of OpenPnP. Mainly as a project in its own right.

I have no experience of PnP at all, so would appreciate pointers.

who was the manufacturer ? I know the Manncorp EMC93 was originally a servo driven model. At least on the X and Y axis anyway.
I will have to ask my boss about the feeders because there were some that were double width for bigger parts.
does yours have a multi position rack like in this video?

Mine was made by Mamiya. It has 5-phase stepper motors.
Unlike the one in the video it has one cylinder for each feeder, for a total of 20 cylinders.

Yours will be able to cycle faster because it won't have to wait for a rack to get into position. Does it have a down looking camera
for faducial alignment?

Yes, there is a down-looking camera. I intend to swap it for a USB one to tidy up the wiring, and to add an up-looking one, probably. Though I need to check focal lengths and such for that.

Nice. As I understand OpenCV can be integrated in so linuxcnc can automatically align everything.
However for just getting the machine up and running just hook the downlooking camera to the computer and use
VLC media player to see where the camera is looking . You could then use the camera as an X Y offset for faducials.
That's the theory anyway.
I hope this helps.

Not yet, it is way behind lots of other projects.

I can certainly understand that . The project lists can become mountainous very quickly.
