I would check how hard it is to use as is, then decide, but knowing myself pretty good, i would retrofit in a heartbeat! 
Having retrofitted plenty of big machines, i might be biased... or not, i like the flexibility and the ability to set things my way for almost everything, hal is a powerful tool.

If it were me I would run as is to get a base line and see if I could tolerate it. Were I work also has multiple Neoden yy1
