onshape CAM Post Processor was created by finnstrom
Anyone out there planning (or hoping) to use onshape CAM with LinuxCNC?

I've been a huge fan of onshape for a few years now but have always had to move my designs to Fusion360 for CAM work. onshape recently announced (more officially) that CAM is coming, but I'm guessing it'll be a while still.

Who, if anyone, generally work on creating post processors? I'll be planning to create one if no one else is. :)

I currently use Onshape. I really like it! I hope to use the CAM studio when it is officially released. I only have a free account so I'm afraid the CAM portion will not be available to me just as simulation is not. I currently use the Kiri:Moto "plug-in" which seems to work pretty well. I'm brand new to CNC so, for now, it gives me everything I need....tool paths for basic parts for me to learn with.

Onshape CAM Studio was announced last Friday with basic 2-1/2D and 3D available now and more advanced 3D to 5th axis available in the future with an additional paid fee.

Standard CAM Studio is free for those on the Professional or higher tiers, so you'll need to fork over $2,500 per year to get access to it. Enterprise Educational users may get access to it after some period of time. Or not.
