Hi
A Linuxcnc nooby here

I really like this GUI but I can't find how to use it.

I have already had SilverDragon GUI working but would like to try this one.

Can someone please direct me in the right direction?

Cheers
Bruce

Try this Howto. Use LinuxCNC 2.8 or later to get the latest kinematic concept.

if you are just wanting to use the gui and not do dev work on it for yourself, then you can use this installation which is a users install, much cleaner and easier to update with stable releases.

hope this helps!

OK so I have it all installed but I get this error
"ERROR: In /work/standalone-x64-build/VTK-source/Rendering/OpenGL2/vtkOpenGLRenderWindow.cxx, line 797
vtkXOpenGLRenderWindow (0x56378428fd80): GL version 2.1 with the gpu_shader4 extension is not supported by your graphics driver but is required for the new OpenGL rendering backend. Please update your OpenGL driver. If you are using Mesa please make sure you have version 10.6.5 or later and make sure your driver in Mesa supports OpenGL 3.2."

glxinfo | grep "OpenGL version" returns
"OpenGL version string: 2.1 Mesa 13.0.6"

Graphic card according to lspci is
"VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] RV516 [Radeon X1300/X1550 Series]"

glxinfo | grep -i vendor returns
server glx vendor string: SGI
client glx vendor string: Mesa Project and SGI
Vendor: X.Org R300 Project (0x1002)
OpenGL vendor string: X.Org R300 Project

Any help would be appreciated

Bruce
