Hi all,
I just recently installed 2.8 RTAI on Buster as described in the docs and now I am setting up my machine (Still have the old 2.7 PC as backup...).
I love some of the designs for Vcps that I have seen. But I am a little confused about the new VCP technologies.
What exactly is the difference between Qtpyvcp and Qtvcp? I tried to search for an answer but could not find it...
Thanks
Domca

They both use the same (pyqt5) widget toolkit.
Qtpyvcp I believe allows QML code to be used, Qtvcp has not explored that.
Each have their own particular process for creating screens with the QtDesigner editor and/or programming.
Qtvcp is included/supported with linuxcnc 2.8+ and Qtpyvcp is a separate project to be used with linuxcnc.
I haven't used Qtpyvcp so I can't comment with much more detail then that.
