Hallo (Halo),
I´m new in this forum, and, also new in Linux.
My last CNC system Previously was a 3 Axis Saw on UCCNC and UC300ETH and it worked fine but there is no room for things like Realtime Encoders or Ethercat so I try LinuxCNC.

And then it starts with ….. Problems!

It seems not possible (for me) to install Probe Basic on the RAS 4B
I´ve try the instructions from probe-basic · PyPI
everything is fine until the Installation from ProbeBasic-Installer-0.2.9.run.
when I try to, nothing happens, when I try to run over the Terminal the error is ELV: not found

Greetings from Germany
Thomas

My Configuration:
Raspberry Pi 4 B 4 GB Linux CNC 2.8.1 on SD Card Debian Buster Image for PI
MESA Electronics 7i95 6-Axis Ethernet Card (delivery tomorrow)
Machine – 6 Axis Servo (5+1) 3000 * 2000 mm Retrofit

hello together,

this time I tried to install Linuxcnc 2.9.0 on Debian Buster RT directly,
and then VTK; Python... via the Synaptic, which also completed without any errors.
The "Probe Basic" still does not start an installation, but only leaves a file without a name in the download directory.

at this time i think i must take a gun and shot the Pi right betwhen his ARM CPU and buy a Big x86 Mainboard.
