Much appreciated!  and I agree with your assessment of the spindle gage line method, this was the only way I considered building probe basic to function for tool and probing ops.  it makes each tool unique t the spindle itself which should be the one thing that remains constant no matter what happens to the machine or other tooling.  :D

Barring crashes, of course.

Hi All,
This thread was the only one I could find that addressed this A axis DRO issue in PB. I just recently did a fresh install of lcnc 2.9_pre0 and PB using joco's script. I also installed this on the linked Bullseye iso from that script.

Has anyone else run into this problem again since the original post in August? I am still experiencing this issue even after trying the fix that charleyann found. Additionally, when I changed the axis display rule from axes to joints to try the fix, I was not allowed to change it back to axes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I made a small change to me original fix for the axis_display_rule on the gui_axis_display_widget
Change the channel to: "status:joints" and set the type to int.
Set the expression to 0 for the XYZ display, 1 for XYZA and 2 for XYZAB

Attached is a screen clip of the settings.

Big thanks, charleyann! Changing the expression brought the A axis DRO out for me!
