then i run the cmd line
works.
but got no new entires in the logs....
i have not made any changes on linux cnc... this is a fresh install on debian 12 bookworm. followed this install guide:
kcjengr.github.io/probe_basic/quick_start_apt.html
i have only paste my machine config
and installed grub-customizer and geany.... nothing more

I can not think of any sensible reason to do that.
LinuxCNC can do that freely in the config folder.
