No Keyboard jog after update 2.9.3 to 2.9.4

I was on 2.9.3 and today I updated to 2.9.4
After the update the Jog from the keyboard no longer works.
If I press the buttons with the mouse they work.
In the ini file I have KEYBOARD_JOG=1 enabled
Does anyone know what the problem could be?

A couple safety levels were added, make sure both of the following are added for keyboard jogging.


KEYBOARD_JOG = true
Ctrl+jog key will work.

KEYBOARD_JOG_SAFETY_OFF = true
Removes need for Ctrl key

thank you so much. Before I used Shift for fast movement. Now it doesn't work, can it be activated somehow? Is there a changelog where I can see basic probe changes?

in probe basic? i don't recall ever having a feedoveride via shift. i do not see anything to that effect in the code. was this in a different ui?

It is not a cancellation, it is a speed increase. When you press the keys to move along the axes it moves at a speed of, for example, 360 and when you press the shift key + the movement key it moves at a much higher speed. I have always used that in probe basic and in any other Linuxcnc interface. but since update 2.9.4 it doesn't work for me.

not sure if that is in a linuxcnc update thing or not, i would ask in the general chat maybe. i can confirm in 2.9.3 here shift key does not change the jog speed. so i'm not certain where the disconnect occurred. from some quick research it appears gmoccapy used the shift key to double the default linear velocity setting, but i do not see in linuxcnc where this is a standard and I know i never wrote that functionality into probe basic. in probe basic the only control over the jog speed that is built into the ui is the jog slider.

It's strange because it has always worked like this for me in Probe Basic and also previously using other interfaces.
Is there any possibility of continuing to use it?

I took a look and was able to add shift modifer which will make shift key use the max velocity ini setting as the override speed. I tested here and it works in all levels of safety, I need a few independent tests done before i push to the develop branch.

I have created a new configuration for axis and the option to move faster by pressing shift plus the movement keys works, and in Probe Basic I can confirm that it worked before the update.
