Probe basic lathe config was created by Ismacr63
I've been trying to install the Probe Basic lathe all afternoon without success.
I've followed all the steps just like I did with the mill.
Is there a specific configuration for installing the Probe Basic lathe?

there is no "probe basic lathe" just probe basic and a lathe ui. if you install probe basic you should be able to open the lathe sim, start there to verify the installation is correct first.

I thought I had to configure it the same way I did with the windmill.
The simulator started correctly, but at this point, there was no way to proceed.

Okay, I think I didn't explain myself in my first post. When I said "install," I meant exactly that: using the SIM files on a machine already configured with Axis.
The problem I was having was with the PostGui file, and I already solved it. I had to comment out one more line.
Now it starts up perfectly, but I can't change tools; the Probe Basic tool changer window doesn't appear.
If I use the Axis tool changer window, it switches perfectly.

I had overlooked that line. Now everything is working.
I'd like to take this opportunity to ask you a question. I have a rotary encoder installed on the lathe for thread cutting, and my question is: is it necessary for Probe Basic to have a graphical rpm count in the interface for thread cutting? I'm not sure I explained myself correctly.
I still need to add the encoder and limit switches to the hal file.

It's not necessary, but if you have an encoder it's useful for verifying spindle rpm. The encoder signal does need to be connected in Hal for threading.
