qtvcp error was created by crowloy
It was pointed out that I might have better luck posting this error message here instead in the plasmac area. I'm getting an error when exiting and I'm not sure exactly when it started.

Do you want a close knowledge dialog?

This is probably a Qtvcp/Qtplasmac error.

You can add the dialog to Qtplasmac's ui file or in your preference file set:

[SCREEN_OPTIONS]
shutdown_check = False

I am wondering if OP changed that option to make it true.

Here are my QtPlasmaC defaults:
[SCREEN_OPTIONS]
overlay_play_sound = False
overlay_sound_type = RING
catch_errors = True
desktop_notify = True
shutdown_check = False
sound_player_on = False
mainwindow_geometry = 3 26 1434 844

It could be that if shutdown_check = True, QtPlasmaC doesnt have a way to handle that? I am unsure if that evokes something that a qtvcp widget has to deal with, or qtplasmac?

My guess is qtPlasmac doesnt select the close dialog in screenoptions - so it's not available if someone sets the close check true in the preference file (which probably defaults true).

So I should fix qtvcp to not error if that happens but probably QtPlasmac should include the dialog for those who want it.

Unsure whose court this falls in for fix (probably both?), but just thought I would report my findings.


OP: For now, if you set shutdown_check = False in qtplasmac.prefs, the error will go away.

Thanks Chris, a bit of an oversight, I will add the dialog ( actually I was being selfish because my personal choice is not to have it)
