Change from Gmoccapy to QtDragon_hd was created by CADdy
Hi all,
I have a working configuration of LinuxCNC 2.9.2 for the Gmoccapy interface and want to switch to QtDragon_hd. The ini file was no problem. How do I bring the currently used hal file to QtDragon? Simply copying it into the configuration folder and activating it in the ini does not work. LCNC no longer starts at all. Is there any information on how to transfer the hal or is it only possible with try and error? I would be grateful for a few tips.
Thanks a lot
Peter

Read the manual, take your time and add all of the things it says to do.
Run Linuxcnc from the command line so it reports errors. (And read them)
I moved from Axis and it wasn't too hard to get it going but took a while to conect all the fancy bits!

Thank you for your answers.
@rodw: You're right, I'll read through the manual first. Besides, it was probably too late to think about it yesterday. I always start LinuxCNC from the console during configuration. Precisely because of error messages that you don't see otherwise (and I read them too ).
@cmorley: If I get stuck because of an error, I'll get back to you with the corresponding message.
