Horizontal Z axis for Qtvcp ui was created by kostyadnepr
Hi everyone,Ho to make visualization of the tool path for machine with naturally horizontal Z axis?A would like to use it for surface grinder and possible horizontal milling machine. Those machines have XYZ axis, but Y is vertical and Z is horizontal. Is there any simple way how to rotate virtualisation?

Most UIs allow you to adjust the view direction.

linuxcnc.org/docs/html/gui/qtvcp-widgets...idgets:gcodegraphics

Seems to suggest using the _view property in the handler code.

Yes and no.
It's programmatically possible (lathe views gets closer) but not built in.
What version of linuxcnc do you use?

Here I modded to show a more lathe like perspective:
