I've been trying for several days to configure the T3D-L20A-RABF servo motor as a spindle in speed mode, but I can't get it to work.

I've set the parameters p004=1, p047 to auto-zero, p050=1 for 0-10V unipolar, and p103=9 to reverse the spindle. I've set p025=0 (default) to use the analog input AS+.

I'm using pin 17 to control the relay and connecting S0 or 0V/GND to the relay.

I'm using pin 16 to reverse the spindle direction.

And pin 1 is for PWM. I've connected AGND and AS+ to the bobbin's 0-10V pin.

The board is powered by 24V, and the servo driver is also powered by 24V.

When I input the command M3 S100, for example, the spindle energizes and has torque, but it doesn't rotate or respond to RPMs.

With my limited knowledge, I don't know what else to try. T_T

but did you try to go to op-enabled without the cia402 component?

That echos my thoughts, I considered throwing that idea out there but decided I'm too much of a newby in this ethercat business to be making too much noise here without trying stuff out on hardware first.

My drive and motors are expected to show up today. Not that that makes it a rush to get this figured out. I still need to decide what I'll build with it once it's working. image missing /media/kunena/emoticons/smile.png

I've finally managed to configure my 7i97t with the mesaCT.
In order to test my card I tried to put a small voltage on the output pin of the analog 0.
I would have expected to be able to use something like
setp hm2_7i97.0.analogout0 1.0
but it seems that the parameter for the analog drives doesnt exist at all?
My firmware is 7i97_d.bin
Where did i get lost this time?

Hi,
I am reading all the topics on EtherCAT and CIA402 carefully. Unfortunately, I am not a programmer and cannot contribute much.
But I found this page, maybe it will help?
EtherCAT Slave: CiA 402 example

Note: would it be possible to incorporate certain safety routines? For example, a watchdog if the servo receives the command for homing but does not start moving.

Hi,
so in the last weeks it is really hard to convince myself to even go to the shop — “badly isolated to small of a heater,” you know how it is. Anyway, I still have a bit of an update.

I worked mainly on the control cabinet and its mounting. In the attachments you can see the box made from laser-cut and pre-bent steel plate, and the arm to mount the cabinet.
I decided to take it in the front of the machine. I reused the foot of the holder that mounted the original one in the back. Because the cabinet now is in the way of the tailstock, it had to be articulated twice. Simple rotation would not have worked.
It’s not quite together yet, but you may still see how it is supposed to go together.
It will be some weeks until I will be able to paint it (again, it is too cold).

I think that’s it for now.

Can't you just forget about cia for the moment and only work with lcec, like I did.
And transition manually 6,7 15.

I've attached my unfinished comp and hal for good luck. also had a look at Dominic's results and its the same

Well, that's disappointing! Thats exactly what I have done.
And all of my statuswords 1-3 are zero.
If you can see any obvious errors in the XML, let me know

Funny, I was just looking too. There is only one lcec slave showing

So if I go back and rework all the cia402 joints to point to the correct variable/pdo for that one slave, it might work!

XML and dump of PDO's is attached

Hi, I am measuring on all pins (11 13 15 17) with no LPTR connected ~ 1.6V - When grounding CS (Pin 17) nothing changes....
LED CR3 is constantly on.

What can i che k in the FPGA configuration that may not be set to have SPI enabled?
Not sure if i used a spi cfg for my custom Bit file...

I created some for ethernet 7i80 and Epp sucessfull 7i90hd previously.... but then things went wrong....

I asked Rony for it, let's see what he says.

Here is a litttle exercise.
Comment out all connections to lcec for the say fourth drive. No cia involved, only lcec.
Start linuxcnc and then start halshow.
First set lcec.0.x.4-opmode to 8.
Then step by step enter 6, 7 and 15 as 4-controlword (or 4-cia-controlword).
Watch how 4-statusword changes for every number entered.
Use a dec-to-bin converted to decode statusword.
Some of the statusword combinations are belwow
Probably especially valuable to compare the drive that works with one that doesn't.

yeh it was down here during the day (your night) quite a lot

So all day yesterday I could not bring up the LinuxCNC forum. I could go to the main site but not the forum.
Does anybody know if the forum was actually down or is the USA starting to limit how it's citizens can interact
with others in the world? I tried multiple locations and devices yesterday and none of them would successfully
bring it up.
Obviously I can connect to it now. but the question remains.

The manual is google translated from Chinese and there is a windows configuration program that connects via USB. Too big to upload sorry but it is all there even if presentation is a bit lacking. It identifies all of the PDOs so it does not make sense if one axis works and others don't

Is there some additional info needed? Like a SDO that specifies which drives to activate?

Do you have the manual? Couldn't find it, nor the esi/xml file.

Also, no errors or warnings in the syslog?
