A LinuxCNC powered Bioprinting robot was created by Ameone
Hi all,
We would like to thank you for the support through these last months (and the many posts on the topic ). We developed a robotic platform for in situ bioprinting, and here is the link to the publication:
www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2405886621000129
It is a 5 rotary axis robot, controlled using MESA boards and based on the BCN3D Moveo open-source robot, which was completely re-engineered to use a syringe pump extrusion module as end-effector. In the future, it may be used to print directly onto the patient to reconstruct and regenerate damaged tissues and organs. All thanks to LinuxCNC!
If you want to have a look at the code and leave some suggestions, we have uploaded it at the following GitHub link:
github.com/CentroEPiaggio/IMAGObot
Thanks again, and we will keep you updated on future developments!
Amedeo and Gabriele

The title does not work, the "forum link" above the picture works.

Recently mentioned on the forum is a bioprinting BCN3D Moveo robot controlled by LinuxCNC. The hope is that one day a similar system could print
replacement body-parts in-situ.
