Life began as a circuit board router. Engineers couldn't get it to work. Kept breaking cutters. Dumped into storage. Intercepted on it's way to the dumpster.
I Converted the two stage solenoid Z axis to stepper. Replaced the flexible pallet arrangement to aluminium plate. The original steppers ran hot. Replaced them with longer cooler running Panther drives. The steppers are driven by Slosync.
Travel is 10x10x-2.5. Enough for hobby projects.
All clock parts made on the router. The hole postions for the clock face ring done on the router and finished with a hand held router. The pendulum bob has a 12.625 convex curve on the front and back. Took 15 hours to route. It is the second and largest of two clocks.
