This machine has been broken for 4 years, it has a problem with the x,y servo amplifier that could not be repaired, also some parameters where lost, and never could get the original one plus I could not find any electrical squematic or manual available.
Me and the owner decided to retrofit control with linux cnc and use new servo drives.
I'm thinking of using 5i25 AND 7i77.
I'll probably need advice, suggestions from you guys.

I've been looking for some servo drives models to replace the original ones.
Original one is a fanuc dual axis model a06b-6050-h203
it's power stage works at 185Vac 3p input , the motors are fanuc model 5. wich are rated at 110V (see picture).
I've found the Mitsubishi General-Purpose AC Servo MR-JR-A have similar electrical and torque specs, however I'm still worried about the voltaje input wich is 200V on the mitsubishi.
any sugestion or advice about this would be very welcome.

Hi. Mesa 8i20 drives should be a good fit for those motors, however, it is probably a good idea to change the encoders. Not sure If those pulse coders can be interfaced with linuxcnc.
To set up the 8i20 properly takes is a bit more challenging though.
The cost of Chinese servo drives and motors aren't that high and I've had good results with them. That is probably the easiest solution.
